Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

At EXIF Metadata Stripper, we are committed to absolute user privacy. Because our tool is designed to sanitize private metadata from your photos, we believe our own privacy standards must be exemplary.

1. Image Data Security (No Uploads)

We do not upload, transmit, copy, or store your images on any remote server. All operations, including EXIF parsing, coordinate mapping, and metadata stripping, are executed 100% locally within your browser using sandboxed Web APIs (FileReader, ArrayBuffer, DataView, and Blobs). Your files never leave your device.

2. Information We Collect

Since our tool runs entirely client-side, we do not require account registration, email sign-ups, or login sessions. We collect:

  • Anonymized Site Analytics: We use lightweight web analytics (such as Google Analytics or self-hosted analytics) to measure general traffic parameters (page views, browser types, country distribution). This data is completely aggregated and does not contain personal indicators or any information about the files you process.
  • Cookies: If applicable, third-party advertising partners (like Google AdSense) may set cookies to serve personalized advertisements based on your browsing interests. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

3. Third-Party Libraries and Scripts

Our application utilizes the following third-party integrations:

  • LeafletJS: Loaded dynamically from a CDN to render coordinates on an interactive map. Leaflet does not collect or transmit your photos.
  • OpenStreetMap: Map tiles are fetched from OpenStreetMap servers. Your coordinates are sent to fetch the local map imagery, but no personal identification is linked to these queries.
  • Google AdSense: If advertisements are active, Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites on the internet.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
